Pedestrian Bridge Closed Along Route 206 In Hillsborough
The bridge over the Royce Brook between Raider Boulevard and Amwell Road has been gated off with a sign.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — A pedestrian bridge along Route 206 has been closed, announced Mayor John Ciccarelli at the Tuesday Township Committee meeting.
The bridge over the Royce Brook between Raider Boulevard and Amwell Road, which serves as a sidewalk along Route 206, was inspected and found to have corroded steel, according to Ciccarelli
"For safety, the Township unfortunately closed the bridge to pedestrian access. Please do not utilize the bridge at this time," said Ciccarelli.

Ciccarelli said the bridge is currently gated off with a sign.
The Township, along with the New Jersey Department Of Transportation, is looking into alternate plans for a pedestrian walkway in this area or if repairs to this bridge are feasible.

"We are looking at replacing the bridge, we are looking at repairing it in place but in the meantime, we are going to try and find a bypass so people can still walk on that side of the road," said Ciccarelli.
