Roadways Over Millstone River Remain Closed Friday

However, several roads in Somerset County have since reopened.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Following heavy rain and flooding on Thursday, two roadways over the Millstone River remain closed Friday.

The Blackwells Mills is closed and the river is currently at 7.32 feet high as of 7 a.m. on Friday. This is above the flooding level of 7 feet.

The Griggstown Causeway is also and the river is currently at 11.09 feet high as of 7 a.m. on Friday. This is above the flooding level of 9.5 feet.

  • Old York Road Bridge between Bridgewater and Branchburg
  • River Road from Basilone Bridge in Raritan into Hillsborough
  • River Road (CR 605) at Blue Spring Road in Montgomery
  • Burnt Mills Road from Cowperthwaite to Rattlesnake Bridge Road in Bedminster
