Route 206 Repairs Cause Lane Closures In Somerset County
The roadwork will begin on Monday, Feb. 28, and continue through Friday, March 4 daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

MONTGOMERY, NJ — Drivers should expect lane closures on Route 206 this week in Somerset County as part of the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT)'s project to repair pavement.
Work will begin on Monday, Feb. 28, and continue daily through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
NJDOT’s Contractor, Schifano Construction Corp, is scheduled to temporarily close one lane of traffic on Route 206 between around Arreton Road in Princeton in Mercer County and Sycamore Lane in Montgomery in Somerset County for inlet repairs and concrete curb work, according to NJDOT.

Later this year, the roadway will be milled and paved.
This is part of NJDOT's project to repair pavement on Route 206, Route 1 and Route 1 Business in Somerset and Mercer counties.

The $9.5 million project is designed to extend the pavement life, improve safety, and enhance ride quality for motorists on three highways:
- Route 206 from around Arreton Road in Princeton, Mercer County to Sycamore Lane in Montgomery, Somerset County
- Route 1 from Emmons Drive to around Varisty Drive in West Windsor, Mercer County
- Route 1 Business from Lake Drive to where Route 1 Business rejoins Route 1 near Carnegie Road in Lawrence, Mercer County.
The project is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2022.
