Support Soars For Somerset Dad Of 3-Year-Old Killed In Head-On Crash

More than $15,000 has been raised in two days to support Alex Folnagy's girlfriend Danielle, and three-year-old daughter Julianna.

SOMERSET, NJ — Support for the Somerset dad who was killed in a head-on crash in Franklin Township has soared through a GoFundMe fundraising site set up to help his family.

Alex Folnagy, 31, of Somerset died on Tuesday morning while driving home from work, leaving behind his girlfriend Danielle, and three-year-old daughter Julianna, according to the GoFundMe.

"We're hoping to raise money during this difficult time for them to help them get by in the coming weeks. Any donations, large or small, during this time are much appreciated," according to the GoFundMe.

Within two days, the fundraiser has raised more than $15,000 of the $20,000 goal. To donate or more information on the fundraiser visit gofundme.com/f/support-danielle-and-julianna-after-loss.

Folnagy, was identified as the driver and sole occupant of a 2010 white Nissan Altima. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the 2018 red Jeep Wrangler sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The factors that contributed to the crash are currently under investigation by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team and the Franklin Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Bureau.
