Threat Made Against Franklin High School Administrator

Breaking: An anonymous person made a threat on social media against an administrator of Franklin High School on Monday.

FRANKLIN, NJ — A threat made on a social media website against an administrator at the Franklin Township High School prompted extra police patrol at the school on Monday.

Franklin Police reported receiving information regarding a threat made on a social media website on Feb. 6 by an anonymous individual.

The non-specific threat was made against an administrator at the Franklin Township High School, police reported.

"As a precautionary measure additional officers were deployed to the High School. Investigators quickly determined that this was not a credible threat and the students were never in harm’s way," police said.

There is an ongoing, active investigation by the Franklin Township Police Department’s Detective Bureau into this incident in an effort to identify the individual that made the threat.

Another threat was also made on Monday against schools in Clark in Union County.
