UPDATE: 5 Acres, Farm Equipment Burned In Large Brush Fire In Hillsborough
East Mountain Road was closed between Amwell Road and the Montgomery Twp border while fire apparatus worked on extinguishing the fire.

HILLSBOROUGH, NJ — East Mountain Road has been reopened following a large brush fire Tuesday, Hillsborough Police reported.
Units from the Hillsborough Fire District as well as Montgomery Station 45 and the NJ Forest Fire Service responded to the large field fire around noon Tuesday, Station 37 Fire reported.
"About 5 acres burned as well as farm equipment and some wooded area before crews were able to contain the blaze," Station 37 Fire reported. "Great work by all those involved to control the fire and prevent further spread."

While crews worked to extinguish the fire East Mountain Road was closed between Amwell Road and the Montgomery Twp border. The road was reopened around 1:50 p.m.
