Watch: Police Unity Tour Rides Through Somerville Tuesday
Watch as thousands of police officers are biking hundreds of miles to raise awareness of officers who have died in the line of duty.
SOMERVILLE, NJ — Thousands of police officers are biking hundreds of miles from New Jersey to Washington, D.C. in the Police Unity Tour to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty.
The tour made its way through Somerville on May 9 around 2 p.m. Bikers were welcomed by fellow law enforcement officers, first responders, fire departments, K-9 units and others from the Somerset County area and beyond.

The officers kicked off on their bicycles in Whippany on Tuesday and are traveling down through the Garden State all the way to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C. over the next four days. They will finish the tour on May 12. A Candlelight Vigil will take place May 13 at the NLEOM.
