2 ‘Jacksons’ – No Relation – Surrender To N.J. Police
A pair of men wanted on murder charges, both with the surname of "Jackson," surrendered to police this week, authorities said.

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A pair of men wanted on murder charges, both with the surname of “Jackson,” turned themselves into Hudson County police this week, authorities stated.
On Monday, Daequan Jackson, 18, of Jersey City surrendered himself to homicide detectives of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office around 9 p.m., authorities stated.
Jackson was wanted for the Aug. 9 murder of Leander Williams, 17, of Jersey City, as well as the non-fatal shooting of a pair of girls, ages 12 and 16, prosecutors said.

Then on Thursday, a man named Quashawn J. Jackson, 20, of Jersey City, turned himself in to the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office. According to authorities, he was charged with fatally shooting Tyrell Franklin, 28, of Jersey City, in Audubon Park on May 26.
It is believed that the two Jacksons are not related, a spokesman for the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office told NJ.com.
