Mom With Taser, Dad With Gun Arrested After Jersey City School Fight: Police
Two moms were arrested in Jersey City, then a dad was arrested later on Monday in Hoboken, in connection with an argument at school.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — Two moms were arrested in Jersey City — and then a dad was arrested later on Monday in Hoboken — in connection with an argument at a downtown Jersey City public school in which weapons were displayed, a Jersey City police spokesperson said.

Jersey City police spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said Monday night that two women were charged with simple assault after the argument earlier that day, during which one of the moms allegedly displayed a taser.

And a man allegedly showed a handgun, Wallace-Scalcione said. She said he was later arrested in Hoboken by police.
The incident took place at Frank Conwell School (P.S. 3) on Bright Street around 8:30 a.m. Monday morning, officials said.

"The Jersey City Police Department will maintain an increased police presence on site as a precaution until further notice," Wallace-Scalcione said.
Wallace-Scalcione said the two women were charged with simple assault. The man was charged with:
- Causing or risking widespread injury or damage
- Aggravated assault
- Possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose
- Possession of a weapon
- Endangering welfare of children
- Possession of a firearm on an educational institution
The names were not immediately released, in order to protect students' identities.
A report in NJ.com said the fight was about behavior of one child toward the other the previous week. It also said that other parents at the school were upset that they heard about a school lockdown only from press reports.
Wallace-Scalcione said Monday evening, "No serious injuries were reported. The investigation is still active."
A lockdown that was put into place after the incident was lifted by the end of the day, Wallace-Scalcione said.
