NORTH JERSEY — Ever since stepping into the limelight as the Giants' quarterback last month, Tommy DeVito of Cedar Grove has amused fans with his stereotypical Jersey attributes, such as loving his mom's Italian cooking (and loving the fact that she makes his bed). His new nickname, "Tommy Cutlets," has given rise to a panoply of local dishes in his honor.

At Alessio's deli in the center of Hoboken, which sells sandwiches, pizzas, pastries, and coffee, they recently premiered a "Tommy Cutlets" sandwich.

It includes chicken cutlets, fresh mozzarella (a popular item in Hoboken), broccoli rabe, and roasted red peppers pesto, all on Alessio's panini bread.

Not far from Hoboken, in Secaucus, Natoli's Deli actually sent the rookie a chicken parm sandwich with vodka sauce for his enjoyment.

Meanwhile, Lombardi's Pizzeria in DeVito's hometown of Cedar Grove has introduced a “Tommy DeVito” Pizza, which includes chopped chicken cutlets with vodka sauce. "Absolutely delicious," raved a fan.

What if you want to chase those items with some Italian cookies, or perhaps Giants-themed cookies?

Millers Bakery in Cliffside Park and Tenafly, in Bergen County, wrote last week, "Tommy Cutlets deserves his own cookies, so we made them. And of course we couldn't forget about his agent!"

DeVito's agent, Sean Stellato, found himself at the center of controversy last week when the fee for DeVito's appearance at a North Jersey pizzeria appeared to double after he won a game. Stellato and DeVito have apologized for the mess.

The cookies show Tommy in uniform, and his fedora-wearing agent gabbing on the phone.

Meanwhile, DeVito has filed to trademark "Tommy Cutlets" and "Passing Paisano."
