4 Struck – 2 Children – By Car On Halloween In Bayonne: Mayor
The car drove onto a sidewalk after crashing into another car, according to local officials.

Four people – two of them children – were struck by a car on Halloween night in New Jersey, according to authorities.
The four were struck by a vehicle that veered onto a sidewalk near 6th Street and Avenue C in Bayonne, Mayor Jimmy Davis said in a Facebook post.
Davis said the injured were being treated at Jersey City Medical Center on Halloween night, and he was at the hospital "checking on the condition of all involved."

"I caution everyone to not believe the false stories being put out on social media," he said. "I will provide an update when I learn more information. Please pray for all involved."
Two cars went through an intersection at 16th Street and Avenue C around 7:30 p.m., Davis told ABC7. One car jumped the curb and traveled about 75 feet on the sidewalk.

One man was in critical condition, according to ABC7, while severity of the injuries suffered by the children remains unclear.
The Hudson County Regional Collision Unit and the Bayonne Police Department were conducting an accident investigation, he said.
This investigation may take some time, the mayor said, so please avoid the area.
