Meanwhile, several other business changes have been noted around town:
News About Town Smoke And News
The longtime grocery store at 11th and Washington, Town Smoke And News — at 1034 Washington St., next door to the Italian restaurant Sorellina — posted a "THANK YOU" message at the end of last week, with paper over its windows. Is the store closing for good?
A Stop Work order appeared on the door soon after (see photo above). Phone calls to the location didn't go through.
Patch has reached out to the city for information on the Stop Work order, and will post an update when more information is received.
A New 'Story'
Also, the former Bloomfield laundry at 10th and Bloomfield streets was recently replaced by Story Residential, part of Compass real estate.

Grube's Improvements
A former grocery store and deli on Twelfth Street, Grube's, has lain unused for years. A firm that does creative adaptive reuse began posting on Instagram in spring about their journey to renovate the former eyesore. The new owners, who say they live near the property, envision giving it new life.
In other news, Mojo Coffee's new uptown location on Eighth Street, which opened June 9, is growing strong. They posted a photo of their ribbon cutting on Monday. See more photos of the location here.
Finally, Celsius Network, a cryptocurrency firm, announced their new Hoboken office in February. But a tech publication gave a curious update this week. The company had released this memo to the public on June 12.
