$6K In Cannabis Products Stolen From Hoboken Shop; Police Charge 2
Hoboken police charged a man and woman a week after $6,400 in CBD products were stolen from a shop near the Hoboken train station.
HOBOKEN, NJ — A man and woman were charged with burglary and fencing Wednesday after employees of a CBD products shop across from the Hoboken Train Terminal told them that someone had taken $6,400 in items.
Hoboken police charged Maribel Rosario, 40, of Lockport, NY and Joshua Medero, 33, of Union City, NJ on Wednesday.
Police investigated after the Green Room 64 at Newark St. said last Thursday that several CBD products had been stolen, with an estimated approximate value of $6,400.

CBD products come from cannabidiol, a chemical compound found in the cannabis plant. (CBD is different than THC, another compound in the plant that has psychoactive qualities. Marijuana is the parts of the plant containing high quantities of THC).

Police said that on Thursday, Officers Dylan Archilla and Jessica Pizzane, as well as Detectives Edward Lepre, Michael Losurdo, Fabian Quinones, and Tyler Soto responded to the store.
The case was assigned to Det. Edward Lepre. During his investigation, he determined that a man and woman had worked together to commit the burglary, police said.
He provided officers with a BOLO (be on the lookout) for the pair.
This past Wednesday, Officer Jessica Pizzane observed and stopped a male and female in the area of 100 Hudson St. (a few blocks from the shop and a block from the police station).
Four officers responded and were able to place the pair under arrest.
They were both charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, burglary, theft, and fencing.
Medero was also charged with hindering and had an outstanding warrant issued by Essex County Sheriff’s Office, police said.
Medero’s charges were placed on a warrant and he was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility. Rosario was charged and released.
