Hoboken, NJ – Craft beer fans in Hoboken may soon have a new reason to celebrate.
Hoboken-born 902 Brewing Company is seeking state approval to open a tap room in the Mile Square City that would utilize a model similar to Brooklyn Brewery, Jersey Digs reported.
The company first expressed interest in building a brewery in Hoboken three years ago after becoming a fixture in the local craft beer scene, according to its founders.

The company later raised more than $35,000 via a Kickstarter campaign to get its fledgling operation off the ground.

After a stint at Climax Brewing in Roselle, 902 Brewing eventually moved to its current location at the North Bergen-based New Jersey Beer Company’s facility.
