HOBOKEN, NJ — Publicists for the Broadway show "Dog Day Afternoon" are planning a sandwich giveaway at one of Hoboken's most iconic Italian delis — although the deli had little information Wednesday afternoon.

The media influencer Sharmedlife and Hoboken Girl both reported that the Broadway production plans to give out 30 sandwiches at Fiore's House Of Quality — known for its fresh mozzarella — starting at 11 a.m. on Thursday, for the first 30 customers in line. Those customers will also receive a ticket to see the show later.

When contacted on Wednesday, Fiore's said they had been contacted by a show representative saying they'd come in and order 30 sandwiches to give away.

Fiore's said they had gotten a few calls from people asking about the promotion, but aren't heavily involved.

"Dog Day Afternoon" stars Jon Bernthal and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who also star in TV's "The Bear." Ticket-holders will also be invited to a special screening of the recent surprise "Bear" episode that premiered on Hulu this week.
