After Flooding Amid Nor'easter, Hoboken Cleans Up (PHOTOS)
Monday night's nor'easter caused flooding near ShopRite, Observer Highway, and several other corners in Hoboken. See photos in the story.
HOBOKEN, NJ — After 2 inches of rain fell in Hoboken during Monday night's nor'easter, low-lying blocks flooded including near ShopRite and the city's southwest border, and a NJ Transit bus had to alter its route. (See more photos below.)
"Bus route 85 is on detour in Hoboken. Paterson Ave between Paterson Plank Road and Monroe Street is closed due to flooding," NJ Transit reported Tuesday. The area is near the city's southwest border with Jersey City.
The National Weather Service spotter said 1.93 inches had fallen in Hoboken by 7:45 a.m. Tuesday. Spotters also said 1.99 inches fell in Jersey City and 1.63 fell in Secaucus.

The National Weather Service had issued a Coastal Flood Advisory and flood watch for Hudson County until 8 a.m. Tuesday morning.
