Fourth Ward Councilman Ruben Ramos said in an email, "The break was caused by Suez who is conducting testing on connections near the Jersey City/Hoboken border. If you have any questions regarding the break and restoration of service, please contact Chris Halleron at Suez at 201-892-8043. The city has suffered numerous water main breaks over the years, including while trying to fix the water mains. They're currently engaged in a multimillion dollar project to replace 15 blocks, or 7,000 linear, feet of Hoboken's oldest water mains.
