HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken's upcoming River City Fair — a fall art and music festival that was scheduled for this Saturday — has been moved to the rain date of Oct. 3, the city announced Thursday.
The fair, which has replaced the longtime Fall Art And Music Festival, is being postponed due to a nor'easter that's expected to drench New Jersey on Saturday and Sunday.
The expected rainfall amounts have increased for Hudson County, with up to an inch and a half of rain in the forecast for Saturday and another three-quarters of an inch on Sunday. A coastal flood statement goes into effect at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
The fair will take place from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. along Sinatra Drive from Newark Street to Fifth Street.
It will feature two stages of live performances, river education programs, a dedicated Food Alley, and local Hoboken and Hudson County artists, crafters, makers, and other vendors. Sinatra Park will serve as the fair's youth stage.
