The company is focusing on four pillars to do so: design, technology, service, and culture. They’ve reimagined the whole veterinary experience for pets, pet parents and veterinary teams — that means calm, comfortable spaces for pets and people, a tech-savvy experience for booking and medical records, and thoughtful approaches to treatment plans, all under one roof with convenient and accessible hours. In short, Bond Vet allows for clients to get the best medical care on their own schedule.
“We pioneered the concept of urgent care in New York, and we’ve seen great traction — we’re clearly filling a need for modern pets and pet parents,” says Mo Punjani, co-founder and CEOof Bond Vet, which raised $170 million from Warburg Pincus in fall 2021 to bring Bond Vet’s services to more markets along the East Coast.
Bond Vet is creating a more holistic veterinary experience for pets and pet owners, but is also establishing a higher standard of care for veterinary teams, too. The industry overindexes for burnout, compassion fatigue and suicide rate, which is 4.4 times higher than that of the general public. Bond Vet has prioritized the team member experience to provide both sustainable veterinary careers and outstanding medical care. That means no overnight shifts, longer weekends, seamless operations, in-clinic scribes, fewer administrative burdens, and better training and elevation programs. That’s a win for everyone because better care for the team means better care for pets.
“It’s important to me that we’re constantly elevating the experience both for our team and our clients,” says Dr. Zay Satchu, co-founder and Chief Veterinary Officer, who brings unique experience as a veterinarian to her leadership at Bond Vet. “We’ve built a best-in-class clinic environment to support the doctors in practicing their best medicine — and providing the standard of care that our pets deserve.”
