This weekly meditation is a 45-minute practice of short blocks of sitting meditation, interspersed with gentle walking meditation, based in traditional Zen meditation principles.
No prior experience is necessary. We will cover the basics of how to sit comfortably and safely, how to work with the breath, and how to bring attention back to the present moment.
This class is ideal if you are curious about meditation, looking to begin a practice, or would like the structure of sitting with a small group in an intimate, quiet setting.
Open to all. Cushions will be provided; you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
