Cannabis Dispensary Rules And Rent Board Appointments On Hoboken Council Agenda

HOBOKEN, NJ — The Hoboken City Council will look at revisions to rules about cannabis dispensaries in town and several other measures at its meeting Wednesday at 7 p.m.

After there was controversy over recent non-medical cannabis dispensary applications to the city, the city is now considering limiting the facilities to six within the mile-square town, and other measures. READ MORE: Cannabis Dispensary Applicant In Hoboken Reponds To Controversy

The council also will consider appointing three new members to the city's Rent Leveling Board, after declining to reappoint two past members who ran against Mayor Ravi Bhalla's council candidates last year. READ MORE: Controversy Stirs Over Mayor's Appointments To Rent Board
The three prospective new members are: Terry Lynn Johnson, Deborah Komarov, and Migdalia Pagan-Milano (Hoboken's former constituent services worker whom Bhalla had endorsed for council in 2019).
