Car Fire On Lincoln Tunnel Helix In NJ Snarls Traffic
A car fire on the Route 495 entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel in Weehawken temporarily backed up traffic on the helix.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — Traffic near the Lincoln Tunnel in Weehawken was snarled after 3 p.m. Wednesday when a car on the helix near the tunnel, along the Hudson River waterfront, caught fire, according to photos and social media posts.
The Port Authority Tweeted:
The Lincoln Tunnel to NY has a delay due to a vehicle fire on NJ-495 blocking all lanes.

They later Tweeted that the vehicle had been removed, but there were still resulting delays.
