Cocaine, Heroin, And Firearms Removed From Jersey City Man's Apartment
Police recovered firearms, illegal narcotics, and $25,000 in cash from a Jersey City man's apartment, then searched his car.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A Jersey City man has been arrested on weapons and drug charges after firearms, cocaine, and heroin were removed from his apartment on the West Side of the city, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said Thursday.
Prosecutors said that following a months-long investigation, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force arrested David Pineiro, 29, of Jersey City and recovered four firearms and illegal narcotics with a street value of more than $50,000.
The Task Force searched Pineiro’s Audubon Avenue apartment on Wednesday, June 7, prosecutors said, which resulted in the seizure of more than 20 ounces of cocaine with a street value of approximately $30,000, round 14 ounces of heroin with a street value of approximately $22,000, and over one pound of marijuana.

More than $25,000 in cash, "suspected proceeds from narcotics transactions," was also found inside the apartment.
Pineiro was arrested at his apartment and taken to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

On the Monday after the arrest, investigators searched Pinerio's vehicle and recovered four firearms (two pistols and two rifles), a high capacity magazine, and a firearm silencer from inside the vehicle, they said.
Pineiro is charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute heroin, financial facilitation of criminal activity, unlawful possession of a weapon (handgun), and other weapons and drug charges.
He is tentatively scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, June 20.

arrest and investigation.
