Deadlines Approach For These Hoboken Activities And Recreation Programs

Want to enjoy a Spaghetti Block Party dinner or play fall sports? You'll need to register soon.

HOBOKEN, NJ — If you want to enjoy Hoboken's annual Spaghetti Block Party Dinner but don't wan to pay by credit card, Tuesday is the last day to send a check to City Hall, the city said in a recent message (see the address and details below). Note that those paying online have until this coming Monday, and there is a $2 convenience fee.

Meanwhile, those registering their child for fall sports including soccer and football have until Wednesday, Aug. 16 at 12 p.m. Those who attempt to register after the deadline will be automatically placed on the waitlist, the city said.

The Spaghetti Block Party Dinner started in 2005 as a celebration of Hoboken's 150th Anniversary, the city noted.

It will be on Tuesday, Aug. 29, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. along the waterfront walkway between First and Second Streets.

Tickets are $40 for adults, $20 for seniors, and $15 for children 12 years old and younger. Tables for up to 10 people are $400.

Tickets can be purchased online at RecDesk: https://hoboken.recdesk.com/Community/Program. The deadline to purchase a ticket online is Monday, Aug. 21.

Tickets can also be purchased by mailing a check or money order, payable to the City of Hoboken, to Hoboken Cultural Affairs Office, 94 Washington St., Hoboken, NJ 07030.

Those who purchase tickets through the mail must include their name, address, phone number, email, and the amount and type of tickets they want. The city must receive ticket requests bought by mail by Aug. 15.

No tickets will be sold at the door.
