Comments On DeGise Crash Will Be Livestreamed At Next Jersey City Meeting

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Jersey City residents who've been pushing for hybrid council meetings have achieved a partial victory, as this Tuesday's council caucus and Thursday's City Council meeting will be livestreamed while taking place at City Hall (see links below).
Those who asked Councilwoman Amy DeGise to resign at the last meeting — following her crash into an Uber Eats bicyclist in July — have suggested making more comments at this week's monthly meeting. READ MORE: DeGise Addressed By 'Overflow' Crowd At Council Meeting
As with last month's council meeting, those who want to comment must still attend the meeting in order to speak on the record. The change is that now, people can watch from afar, even if they can't comment from afar.

A petition on-line for meetings to be both livestreamed and hybrid has resulted in more than 1,000 letters being sent.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. Thursday at City Hall at 280 Grove St. Here is the agenda.
