HOBOKEN, NJ — The city of Hoboken has been upgrading their century-old water infrastructure following dozens of water main breaks over the years, and now they have money to help businesses and homeowners affected by perhaps the most devastating break — the one on Feb. 27 that shut schools and businesses for days.

The city of Hoboken and the Hoboken Business Alliance announced Wednesday that they've launched online applications for their new Water Main Break Recovery Grant Program.

Eligible businesses and property owners in Hoboken who sustained physical property damage caused by the break and boil water advisory can apply for up to $5,000 in funding, the city said.
