HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken police arrested a Jersey City woman after she fled the scene during a field sobriety test last weekend, authorities said.
According to the Hoboken Police Department, a local firefighter alerted officers about a possible intoxicated driver near the 100-block of Newark Street on Saturday, Sept. 14.
As the officers approached the car, a 2005 BMW, they noticed the odor of alcohol coming from the driver, Meghan Gorman, 40, of Jersey City, authorities said.

Gorman later attempted to free herself from handcuffs and kicked an officer in the leg and chest while being processed. She also refused to provide a breath sample at police headquarters. Due to her “erratic behavior,” police were unable to perform a field sobriety test, authorities said.
Authorities charged Gorman with Driving While Intoxicated, DWI in a School Zone, Refusal to Submit to Breathalyzer, Aggravated Assault, Obstruction and Reckless Driving.
