Emergency Water Repairs Close One Block Of Hoboken (PHOTOS)

A block of Hoboken was closed at the start of rush hour as water crews conducted what the company said are "emergency repairs."

HOBOKEN, NJ — "Emergency repairs" are being conducted in central Hoboken, Veolia Water said in a message around 5 p.m. on Feb. 29.

"Crews are conducting emergency repairs on Park Ave between 8th St and 9th St.," they posted on social media, without elaborating.

Around 6 p.m., the block of Park Avenue was still closed, with a fire hydrant open on Ninth Street (see photos above).
