Emergency Work Near Hoboken/Jersey City Border, Holland Tunnel May Tie Up Evening Traffic
Traffic near a key Hoboken/Jersey City entrance, not far from the Holland Tunnel, may be tied up due to emergency construction Friday night.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — Traffic near the Holland Tunnel roads and the Hoboken/Jersey City border may be affected during Friday evening rush hour due to emergency construction.
"Henderson Street will be closed throughout the evening hours due to emergency construction in Jersey City," the city of Hoboken said in an alert on Friday.
They advised people entering Hoboken to do so from the north, not from the south.

They added, "While Hoboken Police Officers will be on scene to assist with traffic detours, drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes in northern Hoboken to and from the city."
Residents of Hoboken have already been complaining for weeks about traffic snarls near the city's southwestern entrance due to construction.
