North Jersey Commuters Respond Angrily When NJ Transit Delayed Again Friday
Commuters in North Jersey expressed frustrations Friday morning when NJ Transit announced 45 minute delays.

NORTH JERSEY, NJ — It's hard to do your work if you can't actually get to work. Commuters in North Jersey were furious on Friday morning when NJ Transit announced 45-minute delays in and out of Penn Station due to Amtrak track work, especially since delays have been frequent lately.
Midtown Direct trains were being diverted to Hoboken, the agency told commuters around 9 a.m., and NJ Transit rail passes and tickets were being cross-honored at the PATH stations in Hoboken, Newark, and 33rd Street, as well as on buses.
Riders responded angrily on social media.

"How about you start giving some credits," said one person in response to the agency's announcement. "Cross honoring doesn't do anything when you make everyone late."
"Two days in a row?" wrote another commenter. "Plus the issues last week and the complete shutdown the week before. We are owed refunds and credits."
