Sensei Howard Turoff, the former head of the martial arts program at the Hoboken YMCA, teaches Goju-Ryu karate every Wednesday evening (weather permitting) from 7 to 9pm in Elysian Park. Everyone is welcome, no previous experience is required nor is any type of equipment or uniform. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a positive attitude.
