HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — One thing New Yorkers and New Jersey residents can agree on is that they hate "surprise" fireworks, especially when it wakes their babies or scares their dogs.

In fact, dogs have been lost when they ran away during fireworks.

In recent years, Twitter users on both side of the Hudson River have gotten annoyed when they didn't expect the loud noises.

The event was rescheduled from Monday night due to inclement weather.

As part of it, the group will hold a "spectacular fireworks display over the Hudson River," they noted in an invitation.

The full celebration will run from 6-9:30 p.m., but there's no word what time the fireworks will start. But don't be surprised when you hear a few bangs after dark.

On another note, you should also expect fireworks in Hoboken on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 9 p.m. because of the Italian Festival. Find out more about that festival and timing here.
