Flood Advisory Extended For Hudson County Monday
A flood advisory and thunderstorm watch for Hoboken, Jersey City, and Secaucus both continue until late evening.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A flood advisory was issued for Hudson County by the National Weather Service until 9 p.m. Monday, and more thunderstorms are expected through 10 p.m.
Hoboken canceled several events for Monday including Concerts in the Park and Fitness in the Park.
The NWS specifically mentioned a series of Bergen and Essex county towns in a flood statement earlier on Monday afternoon, as well as Secaucus. They said some water rescues had already occurred in Bergen County.

The NWS also said all Hudson County towns are in the path of more severe thunderstorms at night.
The forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday shows sunny skies with highs in the 90s.

In Hudson County, sudden floods in the last two years have trapped shoppers in a Hoboken parking lot and, in other parts of New Jersey, caused the loss of life.
Officials advise residents not to try to drive through floodwaters.
"Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...Paterson, Passaic, Wayne, Bloomfield, Hackensack, Bergenfield,Paramus, Ridgewood, Lyndhurst, Rutherford, Secaucus, Ramsey, Ridgefield, Caldwell, Kearny, Englewood, Hawthorne, Oradell, Norwood and Teterboro," the NWS said in an early flood warning, which ended at 4:30 p.m.
High tide in Hoboken will occur next early Tuesday morning.
