Some Hoboken Roads Still Flooded After Nor'easter (PHOTOS)
A pre-Easter nor'easter soaked Hoboken on Saturday. There are still hazards to come, the city says.
HOBOKEN, NJ — After a pre-Easter nor'easter dumped what city officials say was 4 inches of rain on Hoboken, some streets remained flooded into the night.
(The storm has swirled out to sea, as you can see on the radar here).
The city explained in a message sent out around 6 p.m.:

"Approximately 4 inches of rain fell in Hoboken today. Throughout the course of the storm, the city's flood pumps and resiliency parks have removed millions of gallons of water that otherwise would have impacted the severity of flooding. The pumps are most effective during low tide, and the current tide is rising with high tide at approximately 8:34 pm tonight. Flood waters may remain in low-lying areas on city streets for the next several hours."

"Drivers should avoid travel, especially in areas experiencing flooding, which has also led to various road closures. Please do not drive or walk through floodwaters."
As often occurs, the southwest corner of town was flooded, as seen in this video posted by 1st Ward Councilman Paul Presinzano.
"I went for a walk in the Ward," he wrote. "Happy high tide is in the evening. The usual spots are experiencing flooding. A reminder: Please do not move the road-closed barriers. They are there for your safety."
The flood watch continues through 8 a.m., and a wind advisory is in effect until 2 a.m.
The rest of the night and morning are expected to be rain-free, but click the links below for updates on flooding, watches, and more.
