Free Tree Giveaway In Hoboken: 2,000 Saplings Up For Grabs
The Hoboken Shade Tree Commission will give away 2,000 small trees (seedlings and saplings) to Hoboken residents on May 7.
Hoboken, NJ - The Hoboken Shade Tree Commission will give away 2,000 small trees (seedlings and saplings) to Hoboken residents on Saturday, May 7.
The trees are suitable for backyards and large pots but are currently too small as street trees, according to a city news release.
The trees will be available for pickup on Saturday, May 7 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Hoboken Public Works Garage located on Willow Avenue between Observer Highway and Newark Street.

The following tree species are available:
- Norway Spruce
- Kousa Dogwood
- White Pine
- Black Walnut
- Red Maple
- Swamp White Oak
- White Oak
- Persimmon
- Sugar Maple
- Black Oak
