Halloween Trick-Or-Treating In Hoboken Is On, But Follow Guidance: Mayor
Hoboken's mayor said that so far, trick-or-treating is on for the city, but he gave guidance to avoid COVID-19 transmission.
HOBOKEN, NJ —In a weekly COVID-19 update on Monday, Hoboken Mayor Ravi Bhalla said that so far, Halloween is not canceled in Hoboken, but he issued guidance.
In a Nixle message, Bhalla wrote, "COVID-19 cases continue to trend down in Hoboken and across the country, and public health officials have indicated that trick-or-treating on Halloween does not need to be cancelled this year. Health experts recommend trick or treating outside in small groups and to get vaccinated if you are eligible."
He added, "If you are planning to trick-or-treat this year, please avoid large indoor gatherings or Halloween parties and take precautions as the majority of trick-or-treaters are under 12 years old and thus can't yet get vaccinated against COVID-19."
