Running June 25-30 in Lincoln Nebraska and produced by the Educational Theatre Association, ITF is an esteemed opportunity for students to participate in workshops and gain valuable exposure to performing arts colleges, industry leaders and Broadway professionals.
Hoboken High School students will also get to compete against the best theatre students from across the world in monologues, scenes and group musical theatre categories.

Designed specifically for high-achieving drama students and their teachers, the festival is widely recognised for setting the standard for participatory educational theatre experiences by broadening horizons, enriching learning and celebrating the creativity of theatre.
During the program, students and teachers select from hundreds of rigorous and engaging workshops taught by experts in their field. Topics include acting and performing, lighting, sets, sound, makeup, costume design and construction, directing, stage management, dance and playwriting.
The Hoboken Board of Education will fund the educational cost of the program. However, at Hoboken High School, 76% of students are economically disadvantaged so the Theatre Department is seeking donations from local businesses and individuals through Sponsor-A-Student for students’ travel costs.
“Every child deserves access to a high quality arts education,” says Theatre Director, Ms. Danielle Miller. “There are 16 opportunities to help provide an invaluable educational experience for our students by supporting us with a tax deductible sponsorship of $360 per student or chaperone but no donation is too small.”
“Every dollar donated to the Hoboken High School Theatre Department’s Nationals Fundraiser will bring us one step closer to achieving our goal of taking all of the students to the International Thespians Festival and make a powerful difference in a child’s life.”
“Businesses and individuals will also have the opportunity to follow our students artistic journey and see their gift in action as they immerse themselves in the arts, challenge their perspectives and build skills to launch their careers,” said Ms. Miller.
