'Help Muhammed' In Hoboken: Barber Starts Fundraising Campaign For Homeless Man
The owner of a Cliffside Park hair studio has launched an online fundraising campaign for a homeless Hoboken resident.
Hoboken, NJ – Sometimes it takes a show of humanity to remind us that we’re human.
The owner of a Cliffside Park hair studio recently shared the story of his interactions with Muhammed, a 70-year-old homeless Hoboken resident who has been “on the street for far too long.”
“For the past four years, I and fellow supporters have been going to Hoboken on a weekly basis to feed the less fortunate,” Tito Garcia, the owner of TG Hairstudio wrote.

“I've had the privilege to meet some amazing people, one of which is my friend Muhammed. Me and Muhammed have different spiritual beliefs yet we get along just fine because our conversations are all about love and helping others.”
Now Garcia – who routinely offers free haircuts for homeless in a park next to a Hoboken PATH station - is trying to help Muhammed get on his feet with an online fundraising campaign.

“I have added a line on my cell phone family plan just so I can give Muhammed his very own phone,” Garcia wrote. “Please help us do much more. We would love to give Muhammed the best years left of his life. He is a great man and I'd love you all to have the opportunity to meet him and be blessed the same way I am every time we talk.”
