Hoboken Adds New Pfizer Vaccine Clinics For Children Through Saturday At 3 New Locations

HOBOKEN, NJ — After adding several free pediatric COVID-19 vaccine clinics early this week, the city of Hoboken announced that they have added appointments and new locations for clinics Wednesday, Thursday (Veteran's Day), and Saturday, and they hope to add a new uptown clinic on Saturday.

So far, 456 children have been vaccinated at Hoboken's pediatric clinics: 231 on Monday and 225 on Tuesday.

The city has made additional appointments available at its Wednesday pediatric vaccine clinic, made possible through a partnership with Medicine Man Pharmacy & Compounding, between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. at 605 Jackson St.

were battling the virus in the city's hospital. Since the start of the pandemic, Hoboken has had 5,988 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 56 fatalities.

Why Vaccinate Children?

Nationally, more than 750,000 Americans have now died from COVID-19, the majority over 18. Those who advocate vaccinating children point out that they may spread the disease to those
who are more vulnerable, including their own caregivers.

More than 140,000 children in America have lost a caregiver to COVID-19, the CDC estimates, "who provided the child’s home and basic needs, including love, security, and daily care."

The CDC notes that "Although children are at a lower risk of becoming severely ill with COVID-19 compared with adults":

Children can:

• Be infected with the virus that causes COVID-19

• Get very sick from COVID-19
• Have both short and long-term health complications from COVID-19
• Spread COVID-19 to others

The New Clinics, Locations, And COVID Testing Updates

• The first Saturday clinic will take place at the Hoboken Boys & Girls Club, 123 Jefferson St., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Go to https://vaccine.resilhealth.com/hfprx1.
• The intends to have an additional pediatric vaccine clinic on Saturday, Nov. 13, at Elysian Charter School, 1460 Garden St., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., if they get additional pediatric vaccines. The city will release a link then.
