Hoboken Biergarten Celebrates 5 Year Anniversary With Danke Schoen Event
The Hoboken event will feature a performance by the Josef Kroboth Polka Band, a pig roast, drink specials and giveaways.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Five years ago, Pilsener Haus & Biergarten opened its doors in Hoboken on a rainy day in August. Over the past half-decade, the restaurant’s staff has poured thousands of kegs of bier, baked mountains of pretzels, grilled miles of brat, and served tray upon tray of schnitzel.
This weekend, the Hoboken favorite will commemorate its five-year anniversary with a “Danke Schoen” event that will feature a performance by the Josef Kroboth Polka Band, a pig roast, drink specials and giveaways.
The event is slated to take place from 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, to closing on Sunday, Aug. 21.

“We’re thrilled to see how our beloved European biergarten traditions and their joyful community spirit have been embraced,” owner Ladi Sebestyan said. “This is just a small way of expressing gratitude that is hard to put into words.”
