JERSEY CITY, NJ — Among numerous new restaurants opening in Jersey City — which has been named an up-and-coming foodie town — a former kebab joint is being transformed into a takeout pizza spot.

The former H&R Kebab, which later became Mia Spa, is being transformed into HR Pizza and Chicken, said the architect for the spot.

The spot will open at 743 Newark Ave., in the city's downtown pedestrian plaza full of restaurants, shops, and services.
