Hoboken Buddies Launch Beer Company: From Homebrews To Store Shelves
Hoboken locals Andrew Zebrowski and Brendan Drury first began making beer in their garage as a hobby a decade ago.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken locals Andrew Zebrowski and Brendan Drury first began making beer in their garage as a hobby a decade ago. But with the launch of their craft beer brand “The Hoboken Brewing Company,” the pair of brewmeisters are now living out a dream that has taken five years to achieve.
The first bottles of beer from the Hoboken Brewing Company hit shelves over Labor Day weekend and were “well-received,” the childhood friends said.
Their initial offerings include two varieties of beer that they hope will attract both craft beer lovers and beer skeptics alike: the Bodi Blonde (a light crisp ale infused with organic coconut flakes), and the Cityside New England Style IPA (brewed with Amarillo and Mosaic hops offering hints of citrus notes).

So far, business is booming, Zebrowski and Drury report; Hoboken Brewing Company products can be purchased at nearly a dozen locations in Hoboken, as well as others in Hudson, Essex, Bergen, Morris, Passaic and Atlantic counties.
The pair plan to expand the brand throughout New Jersey and the Tri-State area in the coming months and hope to eventually open a taproom in their hometown city of Hoboken.
