Hoboken Cops Arrest Robbery Suspect After His Visit To ShopRite
A Hoboken man allegedly robbed a victim at gunpoint. A week later, he was arrested after trying to shoplift at a supermarket, police said.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken police arrested a local man accused of robbing a victim at gunpoint on Willow Avenue, authorities reported Wednesday.
According to the Hoboken Police Department, employees at ShopRite called police at 12:51 p.m. on Tuesday about an attempted shoplifting. ShopRite workers told officers that the suspect left the alleged proceeds inside the store when he left.
An officer found a man near 1115 Adams Street that matched the suspected shoplifter’s description and stopped him for further investigation. That’s when they discovered that Kyshawn Foster, 19, of Hoboken, also matched a BOLO advisory for an armed robbery that took place at 2:30 a.m. on June 26 near 910 Willow Avenue, police said.

During that incident, a man approached the victim and brandished a handgun, getting away with an unspecified amount of money. The weapon allegedly used in the robbery has not been recovered, authorities stated.
Police arrested Foster and charged him with robbery (first-degree), possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose (firearm), and unlawful possession of a weapon-handguns without permit.

Foster was remanded to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
