HOBOKEN, NJ — The Hoboken Quality of Life Coalition will host a pair of live-streamed online candidate forums on Friday, Oct. 22 at 5:30 and 8 p.m.

The forums will be professionally filmed and broadcast live via @JCHudsonMedia
on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Livestream. They will also be available for replay after the events have ended.

"This year's candidates' forums will follow the same format maintained by the Hoboken QLC since 2007, with the exception of the live audience participating online instead of

in-person," said the group.

Due to the large number of candidates, the forums will be divided into two 90-minute sessions of five candidates each, starting at 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. All candidates have been invited to participate, and nearly all have confirmed their participation, the group said.

Questions can be submitted via www.qlchoboken.org or via chat windows during the broadcast, which "are then sorted and screened by a panel of QLC members to ensure that the questions are

addressed to all the candidates and represent the topics that are most important to the voters," the group said. "Preference will be given to succinct and clear questions."

See www.qlchoboken.org for more on the debates, and watch for Patch's Hoboken election profiles coming up shortly.
