WATCH: Hoboken Deals With Flood Damage After Sunday Storm

City is dealing with 'standing water and raw sewage', reports a resident.

Residents and city workers are dealing with the fallout from Sunday night’s storm, which caused significant flooding throughout the city, as well as Northeastern New Jersey. [See related article]

Weatherford’s rental car was totaled in the accident, but the NJ State Police stepped in and gave the NFL player a ride to his Hoboken condo, the report stated.

Hoboken residents John Rotundo and Lisa Segali told Patch that water exploded out of the drain in their garage, forcing them to scramble to move their belongings. Together, the family used snow shovels and brooms to try to move the water before it could do damage. [Watch the below video]

“This has happened before, but never this badly… except for Sandy,” Rotundo told Patch. “I know the city is working towards a better system, but hopefully sooner than later.”
