Hoboken To Hold Free Rabies Vaccination Clinic For Dogs, Cats

See how to get your pet a free rabies vaccination on Jan. 23, Hoboken.

Hoboken, NJ - The Hoboken Health Department will host a free rabies vaccination clinic for dogs and cats on Saturday, Jan. 23, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

According to a town news release, the clinic will take place at the Multi-Service Center located at 124 Grand Street. Visitors should enter through the main entry.

All dogs and cats must be securely fastened with a collar and leash or in a carrier and accompanied by an adult. Dog owners must have a 2016 Hoboken dog license which can be obtained on site.

Proof of Hoboken residency is required.

License fees are $10 if the pet is spayed/neutered and $14 for non-spayed/neutered.

“Please be aware that all dogs whose rabies vaccination expires at any point in 2016 will not be issued a 2016 dog license,” the township stated in a flyer for the event. “Rabies vaccination must be valid for the entire year. It is recommended that dogs receive vaccination every 2 years. A veterinarian from the Animal Infirmary of Hoboken will administer the vaccine. Please take advantage of this opportunity to protect yourself and your pet against rabies.”
