Hoboken Homeless Shelter Needs Towels, Puts Out Call For Donations

The Hoboken Shelter hosts more than 1,000 showers each week for its clients.

HOBOKEN, NJ — As any fan of the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy knows, a towel can be one of the most important items a person can possess.

On Thursday, the Hoboken Shelter put out an online call for towel donations, stating that it had run out of towels for its homeless clients.

According to the shelter, it hosts more than 1,000 showers each week for its clients.

Used, clean towels will be accepted in addition to new items, the shelter stated. Towels of all sizes are welcome (hand towels, wash cloths, bath towels). Bath towels are especially appreciated.

Donors can ship towels to the shelter’s facility or drop off in person at 300 Bloomfield Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030.
