Hoboken Man Charged With Felony DWI In New York

SOUTHEAST, NY — A Hoboken man faces a felony charge in New York after driving off the roadway on Interstate 84 and getting stuck in the mud.

New York State police arrested Christopher D. Pretto and charged him with DWI with a previous conviction within 10 years, a class E felony.

The 27-year-old was traveling on I-84 in the town of Southeast in Putnam County May 12, when he went off the roadway and became disabled in mud. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, police alleged.
