Hoboken Man Stole Jewelry While Working In Apartment: Police
A Hoboken man was doing work for the apartment's management company inside the home when the theft happened, police say.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken police have charged a 45-year-old man with multiple counts of theft and bail jumping after he allegedly stole jewelry from an apartment last month, authorities said.
According to the Hoboken Police Department, a local resident told officers that several items were stolen from her apartment on Aug. 30, including jewelry valued at $1,100, food and $1 cash.
After investigating, a Hoboken detective determined that Manuel Marrero of Hoboken – who was doing work for the apartment’s management company inside the home at the time – may have been involved in the theft.

On Sept. 10, Hoboken police arrested Marrero on multiple outstanding warrants. In addition to the Aug. 30 theft, police also accused him of stealing packages during a 2018 burglary and theft.
Authorities charged Marrero with three counts of theft, two bail jumping offenses, and burglary/theft/criminal mischief. He was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
