In Hoboken: Man Wields Box Cutter During Fight Over Woman
Police: Argument was about a "past dating relationship."

Hoboken police arrested Gabriel Johnson, 21, of North Bergen, for aggravated assault after he lunged towards another man with a box cutter during an argument on Friday afternoon.
According to police, the incident took place on Marshall Drive around 3:30 p.m., when officers arrived on the scene to find Johnson and another man fighting.
Police later determined that the fight was the “result of an argument over a past dating relationship with a female.”

Officers reportedly saw Johnson pull out a box cutter during the fight and lunge towards the other man, who was not struck.
Johnson complied with officers’ commands to drop his weapon, and was placed under arrest. He was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon, and later released on a summons pending a court date.
